Another month's pages from Duet, Potato and WinkUp.

Still no NEWS from a company that is falling over itself for other groups.

It would be nice to think that 2012 will be a better year, but there's no evidence of that. Not when there hasn't even been a group single for a year but J&A are pouring money and promotion into cds and concerts for select members and ignoring NEWS and their fans completely.

Who would have thought that the definition of a group was simply finding photos next to each other on a magazine page. I'd always figured that some kind of physical interaction in real time where the members actually saw each other was required.

Thank you so much! <3 The pics are really gorgeous, but if I didn't knew that NEWS actually were a group I would think that they were all solo-artist or something. I miss the times when all the guys were together in the photos, not just photoshopped so it would look like they met for the photoshoot.

Well, Yamapi seems to be trying to convince us that NEWS is a "different" kind of group - one where being a group means always working on your own solo projects and never seeing the other members. They try and tell us that the members are busy with solo projects - but how can members of other groups have solo projects AND still manage to do cds and concerts with the rest of their group.

But if we stop speaking out and stop the fan projects then there's no message that we want NEWS. I think they want us to give up and go away so it can just be Yamapi and TM - after all, that's pretty much all there is anyway.

Thank you, inala, for sharing :x I'm kinda new to NewS and fandom, so there're still a lot of things for me to explore and actually, I'm watching Soukon now lol they're so cute :x But even I gradually lose patience, hoping in vain that at least they will do sth or anything as a group this year. But still hope,ne, for a better day :x or else i think we'd better bring the biggest loud speaker directly to the company and talk to them so J&A can't ignore our fan voice anymore...

Yup, if we don't speak out then we accept what they're doing to us - and to the members who don't get to do any concerts or cds without NEWS. But there won't be anything this year. There's nothing to recap on the end of year music shows, and all the promotion from now on will be for TM. No room for NEWS again.

My friend and I were talking about NEWS' inactiveness just the other day because we were frustrated as well.
Then we researched the single release dates for some other JE groups. And it really calmed us down a bit since there were other groups that had long breaks between singles, up to more than one year, and that came back with frequent releases.
Although it's frustrating (and it will probably turn out to be a longer inactive period of time for NEWS than their hiatus in 2006), it gave us some hope for 2012.

ah, so you might know - how many cds, concerts, dvds etc did the solo members of those groups do instead of doing group activities. Dramas or plays are a bit different - I mean singles, albums and concert tours that could have been done by the group.

At least in 2006 there was a reason for the group to not exist. And even though it was a year between singles it wasn't a year between concert tours.

Unfortunately TM releasing a new album and having a concert tour - for the dates that NEWS toured for WPD - does nothing to make me think that NEWS is around the corner, because why, after so long is it TM again and not NEWS. Since 2009 TM has done maybe 70 or 80 concerts, and NEWS has done 7. And now there's another TM concert tour and still no NEWS.

And I know people said a NEWS tour was just around the corner after the TM tour of 2009 and 2010. And here was are TM tour of 2011 and still no NEWS - doesn't seem to indicate a change is coming does it?
